Day Eight Discovering More Food & Wine

Without a doubt, your first full day in Uco Valley should be spent experiencing what this area is most famous for: wine. We’ll start our adventure at Bodega Salentein, a winery that produces familiar names like Killka and its namesake Salentein. Not only will you enjoy a tour of the beautiful winery and tastings of its finest wines, but you can also take in the exhibits at the winery’s small art museum.

Next, we head to Familia Zuccardi, a Maipu-based winery that recently opened a facility in Uco Valley. Upon arrival, take in the magnificent-yet-minimalistic architecture of this outstanding winery. You’ll see firsthand the difference between the soils of Uco Valley and Lujan de Cuyo, and then you’ll taste the difference during our wine tasting lunch.

After lunch, we’ll return to The Vines Resort & Spa for an afternoon break. Those who are feeling adventurous can scale the outdoor climbing wall or mountain bike through the vineyards. Looking to relax? The resort’s yoga classes and spa treatments are calling your name.

In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner down the road at Gimenez Riili Winery, a family-owned vineyard. The traditional barbecue dinner will be paired with wines straight from the bodega, a flavorful end to your first full day in Uco Valley.
