A vineyard with many vines in the middle of it.

Day Five in Mendoza

After four days of exploring, dining, and sipping your way across the city, it’s time to say “Chau, suerte†to Buenos Aires. After breakfast, you’ll take a short, 90-minute flight to Mendoza, one of Argentina’s premiere wine destinations. A guide will whisk you from the airport to your first authentic Argentinian wine experience in the notable Lujan de Cuyo region. Your destination? Bodega Benegas, a winery known for its red varietals. This historical winery boasts a beautiful vineyard and exquisite wines, which you’ll sample during your Argentina vineyard tour.

Next, we’ll visit the neighboring Bodega Vistalba and its picturesque vineyards, where wine tasting and lunch are on the menu. The four-course lunch is a highlight of the day, pairing wines with local cheeses, meats, and dishes like empanadas.

After lunch, it’s time to check into your home away from home for the next two nights: Cavas Wine Lodge. With its 55 acres of vineyards set at the foot of the Andes Mountains, Cavas Wine Lodge is a destination fit for wine aficionados, and the 18-room boutique property ensures an intimate experience. Take the afternoon to enjoy the pool or treat yourself to a special wine therapy treatment at the spa.

As night begins to fall against the snowcapped Andes, make your way to the hotel’s restaurant to meet your fellow travelers for dinner. Here, each dish takes special care to showcase the freshest flavors of the season. The pairing dinner will also feature a few of this Wine Spectator Award-winning restaurant’s finest vintages, the perfect end to your first day in Mendoza’s wine country.
